YEDIS sensitized and advocated the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Agenda 2030 and mentored over 100 marginalized people with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) education and corporate entrepreneurship development skills.
The free Empowerment workshop, with light refreshments, occurred on November 11, 2023, at Government Technical College Lecture Hall, Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria.
The workshop has over 100 participants, comprising representatives from 30 local governments in Osun State, Nigeria. The YEDIS team implored the beneficiaries to responsibly implement the SDGs and the skills in their various communities.
The purpose was to educate the public about SDGs, specifically the underserved communities, by complimenting the United Nations’ efforts to accomplish its 2030 agenda.
Moreover, YEDIS empowered participants with STEM education to promote innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem for community and economic development.
YEDIS is a nongovernmental organization that promotes entrepreneurship education, youth employment, gender equality and sustainable community development.
