Business Financing and Capacity-Building Workshops

Youths Enterprise Development and Innovation Society (YEDIS), in Partnership with Eloy Foundation and First Bank Plc, held capacity-building workshops for almost 500 young business women and girls on 15th July 2023 at Ooni’s Palace, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. The empowerment included business development training and networking, mentorship, access to seed funds, and grant opportunities. 

The YEDIS Project Director, Mr Ola Timothy Olalekan, spoke at the event by sensitizing the participants on ‘Building the Right Structure for a Business.’ Mr Rafiu Akinpelu Olaore, YEDIS Executive Director emphasized the YEDIS membership strengths globally and the advancement of underserved youth gainful employment and community development.

On behalf of the Aloy Foundation, The Wife of Osun State governor, Mrs Erelu Ngozi Adeleke, presented an Award of Appreciation to YEDIS. 

The YEDIS appreciates its members’ and stakeholders’ moral and financial support toward accomplishing the program, particularly the transportation of the beneficiaries and refreshments. The donour includes Mr Patrick Ilori (YEDIS Coordinator in Austria/Europe), Mr Ogunrinade Ranti (YEDIS Program Coordinator), Mr Ola Timothy (YEDIS Project Coordinator), Mubak Boutiques (Mummy Wumi), Ola Seffy Varieties Stores (Sabo, Osogbo). 

The immense contributions of the YEDIS members’ coordinators, in the persons of Mrs Olaoye Grace Folasade, Mrs Olatunji Bukola, Mrs Alaje Grace, and others, made the occasion successful.
