On September 16, 2025, the Youths Enterprise Development and Innovation Society (YEDIS) conducted a workshop to enhance its Technical Team’s managerial capabilities. The session, “Optimising Business Performance: The Critical Role of Nutrition in an Entrepreneur’s Journey to Success,” focused on the intersection of health and entrepreneurship and took place at the YEDIS Headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria, from 5 pm to 6.15 pm.Â
Dr Isaac Agboola, a medical professional and a youth member of YEDIS, facilitated the workshop. He articulated the importance of a well-balanced diet rich in essential nutrients for enhancing physical health and cognitive function. He argued that optimal nutrition is paramount for entrepreneurs, enabling them to approach challenges with improved clarity, focus, and resilience.
Dr Agboola stated, “Maintaining optimal health is crucial for entrepreneurs at the physical, mental, and emotional levels.” This perspective underscores the notion that health is foundational to sustained entrepreneurial success.
Mr Rafiu Olaore, the Executive Director of YEDIS, acknowledged Dr Agboola’s contributions and encouraged participants to disseminate the knowledge gained to fellow members, family, and friends. He also indicated that Dr Agboola would lead future discussions on this and other pertinent topics in upcoming online events. Furthermore, Mr Olaore committed to ensuring that the skills acquired during the workshop would be transferred to YEDIS beneficiaries and other members.
The workshop participants are YEDIS Coordinators and youth members, in person of Mrs Mary Adebayo, Mr Ola Timothy, Mrs Oluwakemi Oyeniyi, Miss Kabirah Olaore, Mr Alexander Oyeniyi, Miss Waliyat Oyerinde, and Miss Oluwaseyifunmi Oyeniyi.
