The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations has officially selected a Youths Enterprise Development and Innovation Society (YEDIS) member to participate in the World Food Forum’s Cohort 2 (2025-2026).
YEDIS felicitate with Ms. Kabirah Olaore for her selection as a Youth Representative for this prestigious initiative. Her role will involve engaging global leaders and stakeholders to share insights and develop innovative strategies to enhance global food security.
Ms. Olaore’s selection underscores YEDIS’s significant contribution to transforming food systems, particularly within marginalised communities in Nigeria. She will articulate our interests and perspectives in discussions centred around the global agrifood landscape, contributing to developing a more sustainable food future.
As a student specialising in Crop, Soil, and Pest Management and YEDIS Climate Change Advocate, Ms. Olaore brings a strong focus on agricultural science to her advocacy efforts. Her commitment to addressing food security challenges, promoting environmental sustainability, and raising awareness about climate change will be pivotal in Nigeria and internationally.
