The Founder and Executive Director of the Youths Enterprise Development and Innovation Society (YEDIS) Rafiu Olaore suggested including Digital Technology and Rural Entrepreneurship education in the school curriculum to enhance quality education for advancing youth employment, peace, and prosperity.
He emphasized the need for quality education for underserved youth to promote gainful employment, decent jobs, exposure, leadership skills, inclusive development, and international peace and security.
Olaore made this statement at the 2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference offsite event held by the Global Initiative for Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (GI – ESCR), “A Summit Towards a Future For All: Filling the Gaps of the Pact For the Future” on May 8 at the Ulwazy Place, Nairobi, Kenya, from 9 am to 6 pm.
Accordingly, Rafiu Olaore advocated for multi-stakeholder collaboration to actualize the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, inclusive youth and future generations growth, global peace, and security.
