Youths Enterprise Development & Innovation Society (YEDIS), in partnership with Osogbo Livingspring Lions Club, celebrated the 2021 International Youth Day on 14th August 2021. The speakers advised the youth to embrace entrepreneurship with innovative business ideas to fight hunger and promote Nigeria’s economic development.
Chief Akinpelu Olaore, Director General, YEDIS, stated that It takes strength, willpower, and tremendous focus to bring a vision to life successfully. Still, once it succeeds, you will be significantly rewarded.
More so, Mr. Olasunkanmi Olatubosun, the president, Osogbo livingspring Lions club, itemized the impact of NGOs in community development and also implored the youth to support the Government and civil societies in eradicating poverty.
At the event, the CEO of New Outfit Boutique, Lion Mrs Olubunmi Olalekan, and Lion Mrs. Mary Adebayo, shared their life stories and stressed that doing business is the best option for the youth nowadays.
While speaking, Chief Olaore reiterated the YEDIS commitment to support the teaming youth through free innovative business ideas, vocational training, regular business and funding support, etc.
The event was held at the YEDIS office, Suite B10, 1st floor, Ebony Plaza, Ayetoro, Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria, with seventy-seven participants, including fifty-six girls.
