By 2030, YEDIS wishes to empower one million Nigerian rural young people to reduce poverty and gender equality and promote decent jobs and sustainable employment by equipping them with entrepreneurial skills, innovative business models, business tools, funding, motivation, and regular mentorship.
YEDIS supports local business owners and apprentices (primarily young people) through community business associations and youth social groups. YEDIS raises funds among family and friends to empower marginalized young women and men. It plans to mobilize more funds from stakeholders like community leaders, associates, government grants, corporate donors, philanthropists and international agencies to accomplish its goals. The empowerment supports include entrepreneurship training, digital skills, capacity building, vocational skill acquisition, and distribution of business support funds and tools to encourage youth meaningful employment and motivate the startups and nascent entrepreneurs.
The commitment governs through the YEDIS management teamwork approach and members collaborating with community business association leaders and youth social groups for transparency and effective service delivery.
