The Youths Enterprise Development and Innovation Society – YEDISÂ in partnership with the Nasrul-Lahi-il Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT) Ikirun branch, organized a capacity-building workshop specifically targeted towards grassroots women and youth-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) associated with the Ikirun NASFAT Islamic organization.
This event was held at the Ikirun NASFAT Mosque, located on the Osogbo-Ikirun Road in Osun State, Nigeria, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The workshop successfully engaged over 100 participants, primarily women and girls, to foster inclusive economic growth.
The workshop addressed several pertinent topics, including the implications of green transitions for SMEs, strategies for disaster risk reduction, business financing alternatives, and sustainable investment practices. Participants acquired valuable knowledge and practical skills essential for enhancing their business operations in these critical areas.
Discussions were conducted in English and were translated into Yoruba, the primary language of the participants, to ensure thorough comprehension.

The YEDIS Team, comprising Mrs. Mary Funmi Adebayo, Mr. Abass Opeyemi, Mr. Taiwo Abdulahi Oladele, and Mr. Waheed Adeoye, demonstrated commendable performance, resulting in the successful execution of the workshop.
